Running the Race with Excellence: Secondary School Cross Country 2025

On Friday 23 May, our Secondary Students laced up their running shoes and took to the course for this year’s much-anticipated Cross Country event—a day marked not only by physical challenge and perseverance, but also by a joyful sense of community and school spirit.

From the starting whistle to the final sprint across the finish line, our students gave their all. It was inspiring to witness every participant—whether racing for the podium or simply striving to complete the course—demonstrate determination, encouragement, and a heart to do their best.

At the heart of this event was our school’s core value of Excellence. In a Christian context, excellence is not just about being the best, but giving our best in all we do, as an offering to God. As Colossians 3:23 reminds us: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” Our students truly embodied this spirit, pushing themselves with focus and integrity, and cheering on their peers with generous enthusiasm.

Our Top 5 boys and Girls for each year group are below:

Congratulations to our place-getters and age-group champions—but more importantly, congratulations to every student who ran the race with courage and commitment. You have reminded us that pursuing excellence means not just crossing the finish line, but how we run the race itself.
