Market Day – Stall Winners and How Much Did We Raise?

Market Day – Stall Winners and How Much Did We Raise?

On behalf of the Humanities team, I would just like to thank all the staff and students who were involved in Market Day on the last day of term 2.

It has taken us a while to finalise the totals, but now the numbers are in.

The day was a great success, even though we were forced to move location due to the weather. Everyone who visited us on the day had a great time and there were a variety of stalls created by our Year 9s and 10s.

We used the extended home room time on Thursday to gather the Year 9 and 10 students so that we could reveal the final total raised and award the prizes.

Coco Cabana won the best dressed award AND also made the most profit,

Sugar Shack won the innovation and creativity award, and

Three Ringed Circus won the runner up best dressed award.

John Coman was on hand to receive this year’s donation to Voice of Grace Australia and was able to share with the students the difference the money will make.

We were able to donate over $1000.00, which was a combination of Market Day taxes and the free dress day donations. The students were very excited to hear from Mr Coman, as well as getting their much-anticipated pay day.

Each year we have made more than the previous one. Here’s looking forwards to a bigger result next year!
