Japanese Exchange Students Visit
This term we had the wonderful opportunity to welcome a group of Japanese exchange students to Foundation Christian College. Their visit was a special cultural exchange that brought both learning and friendship to our school community.
During their time with our Secondary students, the exchange group shared about life in Japan while also learning more about Australian culture. Through conversations, activities, and shared experiences, both groups gained a deeper appreciation of each other’s traditions and ways of life. It was an enriching time that highlighted the value of understanding and celebrating different cultures.
The exchange students also spent time with our Primary classes, where they taught the children how to fold origami frogs. Our students loved the hands-on activity and the chance to learn a traditional Japanese art form directly from their visitors. The joy and laughter in the classrooms showed how meaningful these simple cultural connections can be.
We are so grateful for the visit of our Japanese exchange students and the friendships formed during their stay. Experiences like these not only broaden horizons but also remind us of the importance of respect, curiosity, and learning from one another.
