From our Head of Secondary – Mr Shanhun
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Jr
A huge congratulations to all students who participated in the Production last week. The closing night show performed to a full house, and the audience was delighted. This was a huge effort from all involved.
I was so impressed by the way that the students pulled together and really became the FCC family throughout the process, especially during show week. Many friendships were formed across year levels, and it was great to see the older students presenting confident, professional role models for our younger students.
It would not be possible to acknowledge all the staff who contributed in this forum, but I would like to thank all those staff who gave of their time to ensure the show’s success, including staff from Technologies, Humanities, English, Science, Administration, Teaching & Learning and other areas.
We were privileged to have three instrumental tutors participate in the show, and the hospitality really completed the experience. I am so grateful to all the staff who went on the whole journey, tracking with the students through each step. Thank you to families for your support, and we look forward to the next chapter in our exciting Arts journey!

ONLINE CONTENT
In line with our Mobile Device and ICT Policies, we are reminding staff, parents and students to be aware of the risks associated with online content. Please find some support information below and contact the College should you have any further queries.
Mobile Device Policy:
Students must have a valid reason to have their mobile at school. All mobiles must be registered and submitted to staff for the duration of the School Day. Please note that from the time that they arrive at the College, to the time that the mobile is submitted in Home Class, students are not permitted to use Mobile Devices.
Secondary Student Code of Conduct:
Students must be aware that, ‘We do not create, share or look at harmful content such as offensive, pornographic or violent text messages, images or digital content.’ Students also have a responsibility to ‘Protect myself and others both physically and emotionally.’
Online Risks:
We continue to encourage all parents to discuss the risks associated with online content with their children. In the linked article below, Kristopher Schaal encourages, ‘You shouldn’t be “locked out” of any aspect of your teen’s digital life… make mutual accountability part of your home’s digital culture from the very beginning.’

WAY POINTS
Congratulations to all students who have started to receive Academic Positive, Organisation Positive and Behaviour Positive notices on SEQTA. These will accumulate, and students will be acknowledged. It was wonderful to see around 40 students receive awards last week, and we commend them on their effort and achievements.
