From our College Board

Welcome New Faces to the College Board

We welcome Julie Harrison to the Board in an advisory capacity. Julie brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from many years of teaching and in executive roles in public schools in the local area. We value her willingness and capacity to support our college leadership with godly wisdom and insight.

We welcome Geoff Edwards as a new Board Member. Geoff has had many years’ experience in finance administration and business manager roles in Christian Colleges in WA.

Welcome New College Staff

The College Board would like to extend a warm welcome to our newly appointed staff members. Congratulations Peter Shanhun on your new role as Head of Secondary School. May God bless you with an extra measure of wisdom, strength, and peace as you transition into this role in the year ahead.

We welcome chaplain Kelly Waldeck and counsellor Caroline Perry to our Pastoral Care team. We value the ministry our Pastoral Care Team provides to our students and their families.

We welcome our new IT operations manager Richard Triplett. We pray for a smooth transition for Richard as he steps into this essential role.

Funding and FINANCES

We would like to acknowledge Allison Williams, the College’s Inclusive Education Coordinator, for her work behind the scenes which has helped secure Commonwealth Funding beyond budgeting expectations. This classification work and subsequent funding will ensure students requiring personalised educational support can get the support they need in the year ahead.

We would like to acknowledge Bindi Henry, the College’s Business Manager, and the finance team as they work on next year’s budget.

End of Year

As the school year comes to a close we have been privileged to attend some special events including the Year 12 Final Assembly and College Awards Nights. It is always deeply moving to see our graduates prayed for by younger students as well as families and friends at the final assembly and farewelled in style through the whole-school guard of honour. We pray our graduates would continue to seek the Lord in all things and grow in knowledge and understanding of Him.

Congratulations to our newly appointed 2023 Student Leaders! What an exceptional group of emerging leaders, ready and committed to learn and serve and lead.

Blessings to staff and families at FCC, thank you for your continued support and involvement.
