Introducing Our New Core Values: LIFERS “Creating a strong foundation for LIFE.”

At Foundation Christian College, we are excited to introduce a set of core values that will guide and shape the culture of our school community. As we strive to grow not only in knowledge but also in character, these values will serve as a foundation for how we live, learn, and serve together. Rooted in biblical principles, these values reflect our commitment to nurturing students who not only excel academically but also embody the love, humility, and integrity that Christ calls us to live by.

Each of these values is supported by a verse from Scripture, reminding us that they are not merely ideals, but divine truths to which we are called. Below, we share with you our six core values, their definitions, and the Bible verses that inspire them.

1. Leadership

Guiding and uplifting others with wisdom, humility, and a heart for others, reflecting Christ’s example.

“Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.”

— Proverbs 11:14

2. Integrity

Being honest, trustworthy, and accountable for one’s actions.

“Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out.”

— Proverbs 10:9

3. Faith

Trusting in God’s plan and living according to His word.

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”

— Hebrews 11:1

4. Excellence

Striving for the best in everything, whether academic, personal, or extracurricular.

Excellence is a reflection of God’s character. As we pursue excellence in all we do, we are showing our dedication to using the gifts and talents He has given us to their fullest potential. This value calls our students to strive for the best, not for worldly recognition, but as an offering to God.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”

— Colossians 3:23

5. Respect

Treating others with kindness, valuing differences, and fostering a safe environment for everyone.

Respect is a foundational value that promotes harmony and peace within our school. We teach our students to honor and value each other, recognizing that each individual is made in God’s image. Respecting others fosters a community where all are treated with dignity and kindness.

“Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor.”

— 1 Peter 2:17

6. Service

Selflessly helping others and contributing to the well-being of the community.

True greatness in God’s eyes is found in service to others. Our students are encouraged to follow Christ’s example of humility and love by serving others in meaningful ways. Through service, we demonstrate our faith and contribute to the greater good of our community.

“Serve one another humbly in love.”

— Galatians 5:13

Living Out Our Values Together

These core values will be at the heart of our daily learning environment. From the classroom to extracurricular activities, we will continually encourage our students to live out these principles. We believe that when our students embrace these values, they are not only preparing for academic success, but also for a life that honors God and serves others.

We invite you, as parents, to join us in supporting the development of these values in our students’ lives. We encourage you to reflect on these values with your children, share your own insights, and model them in your daily lives. Together, we can create a community that reflects Christ’s love and truth in all that we do.

Thank you for your continued partnership in shaping the future of our students.
