THANK YOU! A Mealworm donation for Year 2!
Our Year 2 classes are enjoying some new friends … MEALWORMS!
The Little Chicken Farm in Boddington recently donated two bags of mealworms to our Year 2s! Mrs Porter and Mrs Jones were so excited to receive this donation because it came at a great time in the Year 2 curriculum where students will be able to observe an animal life cycle.

Mrs Jones said, “The mealworms have grown quite a lot and we can now see them without the magnifying glasses. They have grown from about 0.5-1cm, to about 3-4cm now. They appear to be close to full mealworm size and we expect in the next week or two they may start to enter the next stage, pupa, before turning into a darkling beetle!”

Here is what The Little Chicken Farm said:
“Inspiring Young Minds β Mealworm Donation to Mandurah!
Weβre excited to have donated Little Mealworms to a school in Mandurah, giving students the opportunity to observe their life cycle up close!Watching mealworms grow and transform is a hands-on, educational experience that helps kids learn about nature, sustainability, and the important role insects play in our ecosystem.
We love supporting learning opportunities that connect students with the natural world.”
Thank you “The Little Chicken Farm”!
