President’s Report

Where did 2019 go? It seemed like yesterday when we were bright eyed and bushy tailed and excited about all that we would accomplish year. Since then I am not sure where the last 10 months have gone, but there is so much to celebrate and be grateful for that we must have done something right in those 10 months!

 For the SA / NT Chapter of Educate Plus, this was a landmark year because of our Chapter Conference. Not only was it the largest and best attended Chapter Conference we have ever organised, but we were incredibly ambitious in the content we (successfully) provided to the 115 attendees through our 26 different speakers and 17 different exhibitors. We were the first EducatePlus chapter to debut the Explore-Discover-Grow -Engage (EDGE) concept, and we established an excellent platform for IGNITE 2020, the Educate Plus international conference in Adelaide from 8-11 September next year. Please save the dates now and join more than 800 delegates from across Australia and New Zealand come together to move forward.

I also wanted to invite each and everyone of you to our End of the Year Drinks at The Caledonian Hotel, 219 O’Connell St. North Adelaide SA 5006 on Wednesday 13 November 2019 from 5:00 p.m. onwards. We will have a short formal AGM to elect the committee members for next year at 6:30, but please feel free to just stop by and catch up with colleagues from across the city. There will be a complimentary drink on arrival and canapes will be provided. Please also feel free to bring a colleague or a friend in advancement, even if they are new to Educate Plus – all of you would be welcome. Click here to register
