From the Tips and Tricks file … schedule meetings with a Doodle poll and avoid the email tangle!

For those you haven’t already heard about Doodle polls and regularly battle Inbox traffic jams caused by the endless stream of “meeting co-ordination” attempts, look no further, Doodle is a free online meeting scheduling tool that will enable you to reclaim precious time and sanity!

Like so many handy online tools, Doodle poll is offered in free (with LOTS of advertisements) and subscription options.

Especially useful for meetings that involve participants from a variety of organisations (and/or time zones), the process is simple:

1. Meeting organiser enters date, time (and time zone) options for the meeting
2. Enter the email addresses of all invited attendees
3. Include an intro note for meeting participants, asking them to select their preferred dates and times
4. You receive the results of your Doodle poll which clearly show meeting time/date slots favoured by most participants
5. Single click confirmation to all attendees of final meeting date and time
