Networking Events Review – A March to Connect
Vibrant and Engaging …
March was a month of vibrant networking and engagement for the NZ Chapter, with five successful regional events held across the country. Members gathered in Wellington, Christchurch, Waikato, Palmerston North, and Auckland, creating opportunities for connection and collaboration.
We are very thankful to our NZ Chapter committee members for their warm hospitality and for encouraging attendance. Their efforts ensured that everyone felt welcome and included.
The total attendance across all five events was an impressive 97 participants. This strong turnout was made possible by the continued support and generosity of our sponsors, Giving Architects and NZMS.
A highlight of the events was the participation of three school principals, with a special presentation by Mark Wilson, Executive Principal of Kristin School, who shared insights on their marvellous 50th Jubilee. We were also thrilled to have Graeme Woodside at the Auckland event. Graeme, a pivotal figure in Kristin School’s 25th Jubilee fundraising and the first President of Educate Plus (formerly ADAPE), led the first ADAPE New Zealand International Conference in Auckland in 2006.
The events drew several first-time attendees, including non-members from various school and university teams. This expansion of our reach is promising for future membership growth, as it exposes more individuals to the benefits of Educate Plus.
Due to COVID-19, the sixth event scheduled for Dunedin at John McGlashan College on March 13 had to be postponed. We are in discussions with host Kirstyn Sandall to reschedule this event soon.
March’s networking events showcased the strength and community spirit of the NZ Chapter. We look forward to more successful gatherings and to welcoming new members into our growing network. Thank you to everyone who participated and made these events memorable.
