Marketing and Communications SIG

The winners of our Alumni and Community Relations Recognition in Advancement Award 2019 will host a discussion on how to achieve effective engagement with your community and provide information on the successful Golden Thread Campaign which utilised their 125th Anniversary as the vehicle to realise a breadth of goals for their institution..

Fundraising SIG

  • Venue: St Andrew’s College, University of Sydney

Major Gifts account for 90% to 95% of funds raised in any Capital Campaign. So what is the best way to go about securing Major Gifts? This SIG offers the opportunity to hear from experienced fundraisers in University, School and College settings discuss real life Major Gifts they have secured, the process they followed and the techniques they used. Presenting Major Gift case studies will be:

  • Daniel Martin, Director of Development of Medicine & Science at UNSW
  • Jackie Dalton, Director of Philanthropy at Frensham Schools
  • Hannah Atwell, Director of Advancement, St Andrew’s College at the University of Sydney

A Q&A will follow the case study presentations before opening up to further Major Gift discussion and networking. REGISTER


Admissions SIG

The winners of our Admissions Recognition in Advancement Award 2019 will host a discussion on engaging admissions practices and will discuss how their winning video that was directed at prospective students and their parents, even before the student attended the Welcome Day, enabled them to feel part of a bigger community, and a sense of excitement and anticipation was created.
