STEM Week 2025

STEM Week 2025

Domremy College celebrated STEM week with a Homeroom straw tower building competition, a lunchtime paper plane competition and the highlight of the week, the STEM assembly with our guest keynote speaker, Dr Vanessa Huron from the University of NSW School of Aviation.

Dr Vanessa Huron is the Deputy Head of School of Aviation at the UNSW.  She holds a Bachelor of Science in Medical Microbiology and Immunology, Diploma in Innovation Management and a PhD in Microbiology from the University of New South Wales.

Dr Huron spoke to our students about how skills in STEM are perfect for aviation, and what being a woman in aviation can look like.

Tech Explorers

Tech Explorers – our participants in Tech Explorers (Alice, Bronte, Roseanne, Shennah and Olivia) have been working hard programming their Lego robots to be fighting machines.  There will be a lunchtime smackdown in the Theatre.  We will try to have it in Week 10 or Week 1 next term.  Check the Daily Student Notices for more details.
