Year 8 Italian: Pasta making with Chef Luca

We absolutely loved the Italian cooking incursion last Wednesday! It was a brilliant, hands-on way to explore Italian culture and the language we’re studying. The lesson was fun filled, as it allowed us to see what it’s like to be an Italian chef for a day. Head Chef Luca, accompanied by his two assistants, was not only funny and entertaining but also very knowledgeable. We learnt how to make pasta from scratch, and our Italian vocabulary even got a boost thanks to Chef Luca speaking in Italian and using helpful flashcards. We are very grateful for this engaging opportunity as it was the perfect way to support us in our learning. The pasta was also Buonissima! 

We would like to thank all the teachers involved in particular Mrs Clarke for organising this fun incursion as well as our teachers Mrs Vari, Miss Intilli and Mr Thomas.
