Celebrating our 2023 High Achievers
Domremy College celebrated its High Achievers Assembly with much joy at the success of the Class of 2023 and their wonderful achievements. With 33 Distinguished Achievers among the class and 85 Band 6s in total, the College also placed 103rd in NSW. The nominations of students for particular exhibitions – Art, Music, and Technology and Applied Science – also highlighted the many and varied talents of these students. Domremy College is very proud of the students of 2023 acknowledging their great successes but also the tireless work of dedicated staff, and the village which surrounded each of the students in parents, family and mentors, as they strived for excellence. Engineering, Science, Medical Science, Law, Business, Media, Art and Cybersecurity were just some of the girls’ tertiary destinations pointing to the broad and varied curriculum available at Domremy College allowing all students to reach their personal excellence in whatever shape and form that may be. The Class of 2023 had a strong theme “Grow From What You Go Through” and this was echoed in the College Dux’s speech – Krystal Cheers – as she spoke of the young plants growing stronger through their years at Domremy.
Our 2023 College Dux, Krystal Cheers, delivered a beautiful address at our whole school High Achievers Assembly this morning and with her permission we reproduce her speech delivered at the Assembly today here.
