Pre-schools’ News – Week 6

We are looking forward to welcoming our Pre-school families onsite this year for our Christmas celebrations on the dates and times listed below:

2 Day Group – Friday, 2 December at 9.30am

5 Day Group – Friday, 2 December at 12.00pm

3 Day Group – Monday, 5 December at 9.30am

St Mark’s – Monday, 5 December at 12pm

Due to limited spaces, we kindly ask that 2 adults per child attend this event. Should you wish for more family members to attend, please contact Neil at nwhite@cranbrook.nsw.edu.au and we will try our best to accommodate your request.

Following our Christmas concerts, we invite you to stay with your child for a family morning tea/picnic at Pre-school. Please bring food for your child and the members of your family attending. As we are an anaphylactic aware Pre-school, please refrain from packing eggs, nuts and shellfish in your picnic.

Toys ‘n’ Tucker

The Pre-school community is invited once again to get behind the annual Anglicare Toys ‘n’ Tucker drive. Donations are distributed through Anglicare’s Emergency Relief and Family Support programs to assist those in local communities who would otherwise go without. Cranbrook has been a part of the Toys ‘n’ Tucker for many years and have been strong supporters of the program.

As per previous years, we invite children to donate a toy to be stored in our Christmas basket, in preparation for delivery to the church next week and in the final week of term. Please do not wrap the toys as the volunteers will sort these items and distribute accordingly. May we also ask that the items are new. No second-hand toys please. Suggested items may also include older children in the 10-15 year age bracket.

This experience supports our ‘Contribute through Service’ School value statement, and also provides an early introduction to the attitudes of empathy; appreciation; curiosity and integrity. We appreciate your support, as we educate our youngest children about the importance of caring and giving to others.
