Nude Food Day at Cranbrook: Thursday, 27 October 2022

What is nude food lunch?

Nude Food is food without excess packaging. It is food that comes to school without disposable packaging, such as extra plastic bags, paper bags, wrappings or cling wraps.

Last term, the Community Service Representatives raised awareness of soft plastics by delivering an informed presentation to all the K-2 students. Following this, they supported our youngest students in our school to recycle their soft plastics during recess and lunch.

Next, we would like the whole school to take part in a ‘Nude Food Day’ on Thursday, 27 October which encourages all students to bring to school only packaged snacks and lunches in durable, reusable containers.

As a school, we will continue to strive to reduce and then eventually eliminate soft plastics.
