Message from Richard Baker, Acting Head of Junior School

Dear Junior and Pre-school families,

As we approach the end of the year, I would like to take a moment to reflect on the importance of our School community and the role it plays in enhancing educational outcomes for our students. Research consistently shows that when parents, teachers and the broader school community work together, students are more likely to succeed academically, socially and emotionally. A strong community fosters a sense of belonging, support and shared purpose, which in turn helps our children to thrive.

Our CSPA are looking forward to seeing many of you at the upcoming CSPA Drinks on the Driveway on Friday, 1 November 2024, from 6:30 pm. This is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to come together to strengthen connections and continue building the vibrant community that makes Cranbrook such a special place.

Next week, we are looking forward to welcoming our Year 6 parents and teachers to the Year 6 Exhibition on Wednesday, 6 November 2024 at 6:00pm to participate in an evening of learning. This unique evening for our school community will allow the Year 6 students to discuss their process, as well as articulate what they have learned about their selected issue during the Exhibition process thus far. The students will use this time to gain new perspectives through conversations with members of our learning community. I look forward to seeing many of you there.

Kind regards,

Richard Baker
Acting Head of Junior School
