Dear Parents,

After a pleasing performance in their recent heat, our Y6 Theatre Sports Team will compete next week at St Patrick’s in the final. We wish the team the very best as they are challenged to think quickly on their feet and do their best to entertain the audience with wit and humour!

Today and tomorrow, we welcome our 2024 Kindergarten students to their transition programme. It is always a joy to get to know these young Cranbrookians.

Y3-Y6 Christmas Lunch Volunteers

Arrangements for our annual Christmas Lunch are underway. In the next little while, our CSPA Vice President (Junior School), Angelique Haritos, will contact Y3-Y6 parents via an Operoo email to explain how they could assist and how this process is organised, so we have some helpers from each year group (Y3-Y6). We are very grateful to those parents who are in a position to help in different ways and thank them in advance for their assistance.

Parents should have received the Operoo permission form for the Lunch itself and our students were handed their hard copy invitation last Monday. Students should respond to the invitation in writing and then post it in the red mailbox in Reception. We are encouraging our students to do some jobs at home during the month of November, so they can raise some funds to help children in other parts of the world who may be experiencing a hard time at the moment.

Getting Ready for 2024

This week, we welcomed many of the new students who will join us in Kindergarten in 2024. Towards the end of November, we will hold our annual ‘moving up’ day for all our Junior School classes. New students in Y1-Y6 2024 will also join their intended cohort for the morning. These visits can help allay nerves, engender some excitement and allow our staff to get to know our new students.

On 23 November, our current Year 2 parents are invited to attend a parent information session about the year ahead. New families starting in Y1-Y6 will also be in attendance. Please follow this link for information about the session which starts at 8:30am. This information was sent out to Year 2 families recently via email.
