Dear Parents,

This week, our Y6 boys experienced some mixed weather at their annual camp in the picturesque surrounds of Camp Somerset on the Colo River. Nevertheless, reports on their enjoyment levels suggest they had a wonderful time! Our Year 4 students head to Waterslea on the Shoalhaven River on Monday for their annual camp. Next term, boys in Years 3 and 5 will have the opportunity to go to camp in the Blue Mountains and at Port Hacking, respectively.

Our camps can help all our boys to forge stronger friendships, assist new boys to find their place in our School and aid our teaching teams to strengthen their relationships with the entire year group. They are memorable experiences and careful planning has gone into the various activities that are on offer at each site. It is always great to see the boys on return: often quite tired, but with smiles! We thank the accompanying staff who worked so hard to ensure the boys had a safe and wonderful experience.

Coming up in the new few weeks, we will have some of our Y6 students attend World Prayer Day at St Michael’s Anglican Church and some of our younger boys travel to Ascham to participate in a GATEWAYS Science workshop with Mr Botto, while our K-Y2 students will have their final ‘Emmy & Friends’ lessons with Danielle. The term continues to be a busy and varied experience for our Junior School students.

Kind wishes,

Michele
