Year 6 Learning Showcase
Year 6 families were invited to their sons’ classrooms during Week 1 this term to participate in a learning experience as part of the unit ‘How the world works.’

Students are learning about how innovation responds to the needs of people in a range of ‘real world’ contexts, including in our own School community. Using a ‘Design Thinking’ framework, they have defined an opportunity for improvement in our School environment. Through a variety of learning experiences during the ‘empathise’ and ‘define’ stage of the process, carline was identified as a common pain point for members of our community. Each student developed a driving question related to carline to explore further. We utilised our families as valuable sources for ideation and to gain further perspectives relating to our learning.

Thank you to all Year 6 families who came to support our learners as well as providing us with extremely beneficial ideas to use during the next stage of our inquiry.
