National Threatened Species Day
The Community Service Committee would like to thank everyone who donated or participated in ‘National Threatened Species Day’. A lot of friendly fluffy animal toys made it to school last Thursday. The simple action of bringing a fluffy toy animal to school not only raised awareness about an important issue, but also helped many children to broaden their understanding of the part we can all play in making our world a better place. It was wonderful to hear so many children expertly discuss the plight of their ‘endangered’ animal.
P- Year 6 raised over $930 which will go directly towards the World Wildlife Fund’s effort to protect endangered plants and animals in Australia. Thank you all once again.
