Do you have some Lego to donate?

As a part of our community service, and at William Parshall’s suggestion, we are looking to collect Lego donations for the Nawarddeken Academy that supports three bi-cultural schools in West Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory. When William visited Arnhem Land in 2021, he saw how much the children loved playing with Lego and he thought it would be a great idea to reach out to the Cranbrook community to share their pre-loved Lego with the Nawarddekken Academy.

We are asking for all Lego donations to be sent to the 6S classroom by the end of Week 3, 28 October 2022. Lego in plastic tubs/containers is much appreciated.

  • The ‘Who we are’ page on their website also gives a wonderful overview of the Nawardekken Academy.
  • You can also see all the great things they’re doing through their facebook and instagram accounts.
  • There is also a link here  if anyone would like to donate to Karrkad Kanjdji Trust (KKT) which was established by Traditional Owners of Warddeken and Djelk Indigenous Protected Areas in 2010. Today they support Indigenous rangers to manage Country across more than 50,000 square kilometres of ancient landscapes. The Nawarddeken Academy prefer donations to be made through KKT, as they support KKT to manage this integral part of our work.
