2026 has hit the ground running with the year looking like it will be another jam packed and busy one.

Congratulations to all our 2025 Year 12s that performed so amazingly in their HSC. I am collecting post school data and would love to hear about what our alumni are up to now. Please let me know. Would you like to be included as a speaker to current students in future? I’m always on the look out for ex-CGH students to share their experiences and career journey post school, a range of experiences are always welcome. Please either contact the school on 9718 1805 or send an email to canterburg-h.school@det.nsw.edu.au attn: Ms Evangelista.

This is an exciting year for Year 10. I am updating work experience dates and will soon provide students with information to get started in that process. I recommend that students start looking for work experience straight away. I will share instructions which includes a timeline, the Student Placement form and students will have access to a Google classroom with other key information, including previous work experience lists that students can use to assist in finding a placement.

Soon students will be starting their eVET courses. Applications have now closed and students will soon be leaving school half day to attend TAFE for a variety of TAFE courses such as Marine Automotive, Human Services: Nursing and Information & Digital Technology. They will be marked on school business. It is important that students attend consistently and complete all the required work for success in these studies. Students must remember to catch up on any school work missed as well.

Some students are expressing an interest in a School Based Apprenticeship Training (or SBAT). Students will need to find the business that is willing to hire them for an SBAT. Once they have this there will be further administration to do before they are finally doing a SBAT.

Finally I’d like to welcome all Year 11 and 12 students to make a time to discuss post school options and requirements with me. I am here to help and guide you.
