Students have been busy this term learning all about Poetry. From haikus to cinquains, diamante poems to shape poems, limericks to different sound devices \u2013 we have looked at it all! It has been amazing to see the girls develop their knowledge of figurative language and include more and more similes, metaphors, alliterations, personifications and hyperbole in their poems, as well as experiment with various rhyme schemes. They have a firm understanding of stanzas, verses, line breaks and what makes a poem special. So many beautiful, descriptive poems have been written, as well as some raps and funny poems to add a little spark to the unit. Here is a small collection below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
