Students enjoyed authentic learning experiences by using a range of measuring tools to measure outdoor spaces as well as one another\u2019s heights. The students then also applied their knowledge of this to be engaged in an inquiry-based learning activity to design the floor plans of their own home. The students were given clear guidelines for what their homes needed to include and thoroughly enjoyed the mathematical process of this task.
