Writers Club is held every Thursday at lunchtime. The students have been eagerly writing for a term and helping each other with ideas as well as giving each other feedback. They are looking forward to having their writing published and sharing this with all of Gioia House. Here\u2019s what they had to say about the Writers Club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I like the Writers Club because you can listen to others\u2019 ideas and share your own as well.<\/p>Ines Bolger<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

I like to collaborate with others when I write and I get to work with Year 5 as well. It gives me an opportunity to write outside of class and try different styles of writing.<\/p>Louise Thill<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The Abandoned Castle<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Blurry visions were swimming through Katarina’s head, but she could not piece them together. One second there was a black snake, the next was a gloomy castle. Soon all Katarina could see was her friend Emily trapped behind bars locked in a filthy old cage. Katarina leaped out of bed, snatched her phone off of the bedside table and immediately called Emily.

Click, clank. Mission accomplished. Hi I\u2019m Andrew Clark, this is my story. I\u2019m a top secret undercover agent, always on the run. I have a family back in Pennsylvania, but they don\u2019t know my secret. I get to visit them once a year at Christmas. My job is so undercover nobody knows what I do, not even my closest friends. I work all day and night with one day to spend with my family, at Christmas time and that’s it.
