The following prayer is a way of reflecting on the meaning of Pentecost and its relevance for us here today:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Come, Holy Spirit of Pentecost<br>Come, Holy Spirit of the Great South Land.<br>O God, bless and unite all your people in Australia and guide us on the pilgrim way.<br>Give us the grace to see your face in one another and to recognise Jesus, our companion on the road.<br>Give us the courage to tell our stories and to speak boldly of your truth.<br>Give us ears to listen humbly to each other and a discerning heart to hear what you are saying.<br>Lead your Church into a hope-filled future, that we may live the joy of the Gospel.<br>Through Jesus Christ our Lord, bread for the journey from age to age.<br>Amen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our Year 3 students led the school in a Pentecost liturgy to celebrate this important day in the Church liturgical calendar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><a href=\"https:\/\/d1dfwahqlx324v.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/sites\/72\/2023\/06\/Pentecost-1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/d1dfwahqlx324v.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/sites\/72\/2023\/06\/Pentecost-1-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7280\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Year 3 teachers and students<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On 28 May the Church throughout the world celebrated Pentecost Sunday commemorating the day when the Holy Spirit first descended upon the disciples of Jesus in Jerusalem.
