First Chapter Friday is a new activity for us this year. Each week, a student gets to have the opportunity to choose a book to read. Reading the first chapter of a student’s book request is like having a sneak peek into a new adventure. So far this term, we have read the first chapter of Matilda<\/em>, Alice Miranda in New York<\/em>, The Secrets of a Schoolyard Millionaire<\/em> and Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone<\/em>. So far the class has been enjoying the first chapters. We will continue to do this throughout the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
