{"id":5668,"date":"2023-03-06T16:01:34","date_gmt":"2023-03-06T05:01:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/ssc\/?post_type=article&#038;p=5668"},"modified":"2023-03-06T17:10:06","modified_gmt":"2023-03-06T06:10:06","slug":"director-of-tallong-campus-12","status":"publish","type":"article","link":"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/ssc\/article\/director-of-tallong-campus-12\/","title":{"rendered":"Director of Tallong Campus"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Last week Tallong had the pleasure of hosting our Year 7 students&nbsp;on their outdoor education&nbsp;program. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year the program was a four-day experience where the students&#8217; comfort\u00a0zones\u00a0were challenged and they learnt important\u00a0life skills of leading self, leading others and stewardship for our natural world. In previous years the Year 7 Outdoor Education Experience\u00a0has been three days, so this\u00a0year an extra day allowed for further learning sessions to be built into the program. which from all accounts were received\u00a0very well. The extra day also helps build the students&#8217; resilience\u00a0and allows for deeper relationships to be developed across their cohort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Year 7 Outdoor Education Experience 2023\" width=\"1000\" height=\"563\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/agg2W6pPBuY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><br>In the last <em>Veritas&nbsp;Voice<\/em> article&nbsp;I was able to talk about the success of the Tallong open day and highlight&nbsp;the opportunities&nbsp;for the Santa Sabina College community to engage&nbsp;with Tallong this year. We can now announce&nbsp;that we are holding dates for the well-established parent\/child camp at Tallong. A camp that has been running&nbsp;at Tallong for almost 20 years. The dates for this year&#8217;s parent\/child camp are 11\/12 November 2023.
