Beginning by drawing on the inspiration behind writing poetry and the language features and poetic devices that they had learned in English, the girls chose a book they had recently enjoyed reading as inspiration for their Blackout Poetry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Starting with scanning the book to find a section they felt used language in an engaging way, the girls then selected words that resonated with them with which to create their poem.\u00a0They then demonstrated their creativity, choosing an appropriate and interesting way to decorate their poems.
