{"id":3268,"date":"2022-08-23T08:58:10","date_gmt":"2022-08-22T22:58:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/ssc\/?post_type=article&#038;p=3268"},"modified":"2022-08-25T08:54:09","modified_gmt":"2022-08-24T22:54:09","slug":"library-chess-club","status":"publish","type":"article","link":"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/ssc\/article\/library-chess-club\/","title":{"rendered":"Library Chess Club"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Learning in the Library<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On 18 August, Nicole, Mira, Jayden, Michelle, Jana, and Kate from Year 7 &#8211; 9, participated in the NSW Interschool Girls Teams Chess Challenge 2022, run by the Sydney Academy of Chess. Over the course of the day, we played against many other schools from across NSW in a round robin style competition. Although we didn\u2019t place in the top 3, we all had a lot of fun, and learnt many new strategies from the people we played against. For most of the team, this was the first formal chess competition they attended and all were very excited to be participating, later stating that it was an incredible first chess competition experience!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the chess captain, it was incredible to see these girls enjoying the competition, and most importantly the way everyone supported each other.
