Our recent annual St Vincent de Paul Winter Sleepout was a tremendous success, with more students participating than ever before and demonstrating a genuine commitment to serving others in the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Years 11 and 12 students spent a night \u2018sleeping rough\u2019 on school grounds to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by people experiencing homelessness. Throughout the evening, students also prepared a record number of snack packs using donated items collected through House groups. These packs will be distributed through the Vinnies Night Patrol Vans, providing practical support to those doing it tough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What stood out most was the enthusiasm and empathy shown by the students. With a record number choosing to take part in the overnight experience, students engaged thoughtfully with the purpose of the event and reflected on the realities of homelessness. Their willingness to step outside their comfort zones demonstrated a growing awareness of the importance of compassion, dignity and service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We thank all students, staff and families who contributed donations and support to this worthwhile initiative. Together, they have made a meaningful difference in the lives of others and embodied our commitment to serving the community with generosity and care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
