Year 1 HSIE: Ancient China and Ancient Egypt\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This term, Year 1 has been learning about Ancient China and Ancient Egypt in HSIE. Students have explored ancient myths and legends, inventions, lifestyle and social conventions. They were fascinated to learn that many ancient Chinese and Egyptian inventions, such as paper, ink and printing, are still in use today. Students were also very interested to learn about the enormous pyramids built by the ancient Egyptians, and the Great Wall of China, which are still standing today. This unit has been very engaging for the children. Their assembly presentation and visit to the Chau Chak Wing museum were the perfect way to complete their learning. The children are looking forward to creating artefacts in Term 4 to represent their learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
