Gioia House Instrumental <\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Our Gioia House musicians continue to shine as they move into Week 9 with focus, enthusiasm and a wonderful sense of teamwork.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mini Maestros<\/strong> in both Year 5 and Year 6 are steadily working towards their Term 4 performances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n
Year 5 Mini Maestros<\/strong> are polishing selected works from Essential Elements<\/em>, strengthening ensemble skills, rhythmic confidence, and collaborative music\u2011making.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Year 6 Mini Maestros<\/strong> are rehearsing pieces from Essential Elements<\/em> alongside A Shaker Hymn<\/em>, developing blend, balance, and musical independence as they prepare for their final Term 4 performance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Our Gioia House Strings<\/strong> are looking forward to their combined Breakfast Concert with Sinfonietta, now scheduled for Monday 21 September<\/strong>. Together, they will form an orchestra of almost 200 performers<\/strong>, presenting Festival Fanfare<\/em> by Kathryn Griesinger \u2013 an uplifting and energetic work that celebrates their growing confidence and ensemble cohesion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gioia House Choir<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
The Gioia House Choir is singing beautifully as they prepare for a busy and exciting performance season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Students are continuing their Term 4 repertoire: Lakeside Lullaby<\/em> and I Found Something I Was Searching For<\/em> by Pink Zebra, focusing on tone production, breath support and expressive phrasing. As we move further into the term, the choir will also begin preparing repertoire for their Thanksgiving Mass<\/strong>, shaping warm tone, unified vowel sounds, and clear diction to support meaningful liturgical singing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Their commitment, teamwork, and joy in music\u2011making continue to shine each week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
