Year 3 recently visited the Santa Sabina science labs, where they engaged in a series of hands-on experiments supported by the Science faculty and a group of enthusiastic Year 10 students. Working in collaborative groups, the students explored a range of investigations connected to their current unit of study on heat and light energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout the session, students examined how shadows change, how light behaves when it strikes different materials and whether all materials conduct heat in the same way. They also participated in an engaging activity modelling the structure of the eye. The students\u2019 thoughtful contributions and collaborative approach highlighted the strong inquiry skills they have been building in class. This experience provided a valuable opportunity for students to extend their scientific thinking in a real laboratory setting and deepen their understanding of key concepts in heat and light energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
