We invite all families, including students, to join us at our annual Santa Science Showcase as we celebrate National Science Week. The Santa Science Showcase celebrates the incredible scientific expertise within our own College community and showcases the many ways science is used beyond the classroom \u2013 highlighting real\u2011world applications, diverse career pathways and the creativity and curiosity that drive scientific thinking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year\u2019s theme invites us to reflect on how ideas grow. Just as seeds need the right conditions to flourish, scientific understanding thrives when curiosity is encouraged, questions are explored and knowledge is shared. The theme celebrates the journey from a spark of inquiry to discoveries that benefit the wider community, reminding us that science grows best through collaboration, creativity and care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By hearing directly from professionals, we hope to inspire our students to pursue senior science subjects and consider future careers in STEM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Claudia Novati (Class of 2022)<\/em>
From the water we drink and the roads we travel on to the buildings where we learn, science and engineering are all around us. Claudia will reveal how these fields shape everyday life and how experimentation, problem-solving and even failure can lead to innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

STEM Club Showcase<\/strong>
Santa Sabina STEM Club Students<\/em>
Our STEM Club students will share some of the exciting projects, experiments and challenges they have been working on throughout the year, demonstrating creativity, teamwork and innovation in action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Date<\/strong>: Wednesday 19 August
Timing<\/strong>: 5:30-7:30pm
(Light refreshments from 5:30pm, presentations begin at 6:00pm)
Location<\/strong>: Lecture Theatre, Santa Sabina College
Presentations<\/strong>: Six-10 minute talks, with slides. Each presentation will be followed by three-five minutes of question time from the audience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
