This term, students have been actively engaging in our Pi Maths program, a dedicated time where learners are grouped to ensure targeted, responsive instruction. Pi Maths allows teachers to tailor learning so that every student is appropriately challenged and supported as they deepen their mathematical understanding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During Pi Maths, students continue to work with the same mathematical content taught in class, but through a strong problem\u2011solving and working mathematically lens. This approach encourages students to think flexibly, justify their reasoning, and apply strategies in meaningful and authentic ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Write On Competition<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Students in Years 5 and 6 had the opportunity to submit entries into Write On, a writing competition organised by the NSW Department of Education. The theme this year was \u2018It was a small thing but it made a difference.\u2019 The students wrote stories with some powerful messages. Congratulations to Jennifer Stanton whose entry was selected to be submitted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coding and Robotics <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This week in Coding and Robotics Club, students have been learning to code using our robot, Dash. They have been programming through Blockly, creating instructions that control Dash\u2019s speed, movement, flashing lights, and sounds. The students have really enjoyed experimenting, problem\u2011solving and exploring all the different ways they can bring Dash to life through coding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
