Accepting the invitation to care for the world we share<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
In Weeks 1\u20132, students will focus on Caring for the World We Share<\/em><\/strong>, linked with Earth Day on 22 April<\/strong>. Students will explore how small actions \u2013 such as recycling, saving water and energy, and caring for shared spaces \u2013 help us be stewards of God\u2019s creation. To support this focus, we are introducing a recycling initiative for used pens, markers and highlighters, with collection boxes located in the Library, Art Room and classrooms. Families are encouraged to celebrate Earth Day at home by reducing waste, planting something together, conserving energy, keeping items out of landfill and talking with your child about ways we can care for the world we share.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As part of our Thomas Aquinas Scholars Program, selected students in Years 3\u20136 participated in the Kangourou sans Fronti\u00e8res<\/em> (KSF) Mathematics Competition last term. KSF is an internationally recognised competition that challenges students through advanced problem\u2013solving and logical reasoning, with more than six million participants worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We commend all students involved for their commitment and excellence in mathematics and particularly acknowledge those who achieved High Distinction, placing in the top three percent, and Distinction, placing in the top 15% of Australian participants.
