In Week 6, Year 4 students enjoyed participating in the immersive walking tour of The Rocks as part of the History curriculum. They learned about first contacts between the Eora and the British people, the Aboriginal way of life before and after colonisation, and significant people and events in the early colony. Students were given the opportunity to dress up as the governor, soldiers, convicts or free settlers. They observed the use of sandstone in the creation of early buildings such as Cadman\u2019s Cottage. Students were fascinated when shown the use of seashells in early architecture. It was a fun experience filled with learning!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
