{"id":13285,"date":"2024-09-19T08:33:04","date_gmt":"2024-09-18T22:33:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/ssc\/?post_type=article&#038;p=13285"},"modified":"2024-09-19T09:03:18","modified_gmt":"2024-09-18T23:03:18","slug":"kindergarten-7","status":"publish","type":"article","link":"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/ssc\/article\/kindergarten-7\/","title":{"rendered":"Kindergarten\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>This year, the Kindergarten students have been learning about the importance of having a growth mindset.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Having a growth mindset means that you believe your intelligence and abilities can be improved with effort, practice, and the implementation of appropriate strategies.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The students were introduced to specific vocabulary to assist them with recognising positive and negative thinking about themselves as learners, and used visual charts to remind them of strategies they can employ when faced with a challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mistakes have been reframed as opportunities for learning and growth, and the power of the word \u2018yet\u2019, has been emphasised as a positive motivator to remind students that if they persevere and don\u2019t give up when encountering new or challenging learning experiences, they will eventually succeed.
