Year 1

As we wrap up our exciting Year 1 learning, we are thrilled to share the incredible journey our students have embarked on. Over the past few weeks, our young explorers have transformed into enthusiastic tourist guides, delving deep into the rich heritage of their chosen countries to which they have a special connection.

Each student has taken us on a unique adventure, uncovering fascinating details about cultural foods, important landscapes, and the diverse flora and fauna that make their countries special. From the bustling markets of Lebanon to the ancient wonders of Egypt, our classrooms have been filled with vibrant stories and colourful images.

The students have showcased their findings through beautifully crafted brochures, each one a testament to their hard work and creativity. These brochures not only highlight interesting facts but also reflect the pride and connection our students feel towards their heritage. We learned about the rich history of Palestine, the culinary delights of Italy, the technological marvels of South Korea, the natural beauty of Australia, the cultural treasures of China, the scenic landscapes of Scotland, the ancient ruins of Greece, the vibrant traditions of Vietnam, and the colourful festivals of Spain.

We are incredibly proud of our Year 1 students for their dedication and effort in making this project a success. Their work has not only enriched their understanding of their own heritage but has also fostered a greater sense of global awareness and respect among all of us.
