Director of Sport and Co-curricular

As the year comes to its end, I would like to reflect on what we have offered and what our students have achieved due to the care and investment of our staff and coaches.

More students have joined Sport and Co-curricular Activities this year compared to last year. We had great results in Rep Dance, Rep Volleyball, Tennis, International Trip and Saturday Sport competitions. We have also written our name at the top of CGSSSA, NSWCCC and IGSA Competitions due to the effort and dedication of our students and support of our parents.

Santa Sabina College has been respected and a force to be confronted in many areas. We have seen students succeeding in Debating, Public Speaking and Chess in the various competitions facilitated by schools associations and our department.

We have seen the growth of the Invitational Volleyball program and more students in Years 3 and 4 joining Saturday Sport. In the Primary Years we have facilitated our students to join and progress in the many offers and levels of the Sydney Catholic Schools – Mackillop – NSW PSSA pathways.

I would like to finish by thanking students, parents, staff, coaches, the College Sports Department and the College Leadership team for being there for our students and facilitating not only Sports and Co-curricular offers but a pathway for our students to excel and succeed.

Representative and Saturday Sport and Co-curricular Activities

Congratulations to SAN03 (Year 9) for winning the NSW Volleyball Schools Cup on Monday 2 December.

We cannot wait to take our 7 Volleyball Representative Teams to the Australian Volleyball Schools Cup on the Gold Coast from 8 to 15 December.

Sports registrations Term 1 2025 are now open until 13 December.

Co-curricular Clubs registrations are open for Athletics, Fencing, Mandarin, Fit Club, Badminton, Water Polo and Boxing.
