Our new red door at the Boarding House is a symbol of welcome and compassion, inspired by Catherine McAuley\u2019s original House of Mercy on Baggot Street.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">At a time when opening doors to the poor and vulnerable in an affluent neighbourhood was considered bold and unsettling, Catherine\u2019s open door was a quiet act of defiance and radical hospitality. From this courageous beginning grew a ministry of care and service that has touched hearts and communities across generations.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Our red door stands as a reminder of this legacy.
