There have been some calendar updates, all of which have been communicated to parents\/guardians. Some important dates for the first two weeks include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Student-free day: Tuesday, 4 October.<\/li>\n<li>Year 12 Retreat Day: Friday, 7 October at the Apex Camp on Magnetic Island.<\/li>\n<li>Year 12 Retreat Dinner: Friday, 7 October, 6.00pm at the Mercure Inn.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Passing of the Light Ceremony: Tuesday, 11 October at 6.00pm in the East Precinct Auditorium for Years 11 and 12 students and families.<\/li>\n<li>Year 11, Peer Power Workshops: Thursday, 13 October (all day).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The timetable for <strong>Wednesday, 12 October<\/strong> will involve lesson swaps. These changes will be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>8.45am &#8211; 9.40am: timetabled Lesson 3<\/li>\n<li>9.40am &#8211; 10.35am: timetabled Lesson 4<\/li>\n<li><em>Morning Tea<\/em><\/li>\n<li>10.55am &#8211; 11.50am: Guest Speaker (all students)<\/li>\n<li>11.50am &#8211; 12.45pm: House Farewells<\/li>\n<li>12.45am &#8211; 1.00pm: Year 12 group photo and 2023 Student Leaders&#8217; photo<\/li>\n<li><em>Lunch<\/em><\/li>\n<li>1.25pm &#8211; 2.20pm: timetabled Lesson 5<\/li>\n<li>2.20pm &#8211; 3.15pm: timetabled Lesson 6<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>PARENT\/GUARDIAN INFORMATION EVENING<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mr Thomas Reynold, founder of Independent Drug Education Australia, will be our guest speaker on Wednesday, 12 October. This will be a very important session, and parents\/guardians are encouraged to attend.
