STUDENT SPOTLIGHT

We’re thrilled to share the incredible achievements of Year 10 student, Sienna Monteith in her recent trip to Malaysia. The competition was fierce, highlighting the significance of such events in the world of sports. Representing Australia amidst tough contenders from Malaysia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Thailand, Sienna showcased her skill and determination. In her debut international appearance, Sienna came away with an impressive array of medals:

🥇 Gold in the Team Pursuit

🥇 Gold in the Madison

🥇 Gold in the Elimination Race

🥉 Bronze in the Scratch Race

The College could not be more proud of Sienna’s accomplishments, and her success serves as an inspiration to aspiring young athletes everywhere. Congratulations Sienna!

Congratulations are also in order for Year 11 student Charlotte Rosenblatt for being named Youth Lifesaver of the Year. Charlotte was named Under 17 Age Champion and was in the top 10 patrolling hours! Well done, Charlotte.

Congratulations to Year 12 student, Ruby-Rae Hicks for her outstanding success at the Charters Towers Country Music Festival. Ruby placed in all five categories, winning first place in three categories, including the Open Songwriting section where she performed her original song This House live. This section was judged by a professional singer/songwriter before the event. Ruby is a familiar face in our College community, often seen strumming her guitar or dazzling us on the microphone at events. We’re incredibly fortunate to have such a talented performer among us!
