‘Plenty More’ – Strand Ephemera
Strand Ephemera is now well underway and we are very proud to be a part of this nationally recognised art exhibit with our very own entry – ‘Plenty More’. You can view our installation at number 35 on the Strand Ephemera Map. It is located on the Strand directly in front of the College.
“Humanity’s desire for fish has meant the species are declining faster than they can replenish. Fishing and proper management of our seas has, and should be, maintained by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island communities as it is central to their culture and custom. This work represents this need for indigenous communities to gain control over their rightful traditions”. You can read more about our artwork at the Townsville City Council Website.

Strand Ephemera Block Party – Wearable Art Fashion Show
On Sunday 4 August students of St Patrick’s College Townsville took part in the Strand Ephemera Block Party Wearable Art Fashion Show at Strand Park. This was an exciting opportunity for our students to be a part of a Wearable Art showcase representing the College as designers and models.
