During the mid-semester break, five of our students descended upon QUT in Brisbane for the 2019 five-day Science and Infrastructure Development (SID) School. Year 11 students Priscilla Sibley-Pearson and Javanah Bero, along with Year 10 students, Kailang Reimann, Nevis Esrom and Patricia Mabo, proudly represented the College.

With an emphasis on STEM employment pathways, our girls participated in a wide-range of hands-on learning activities such as boot camps and cultural dance workshops and gained valuable experience in engineering, aerodynamics, sustainability and animal care.

Despite the early mornings, cold weather and busy days, our students immersed themselves in all activities that were on offer, leaving them with newfound aspirations for future careers in Nursing, Engineering, and as members of our Defence Force.
