FROM THE DIRECTOR OF STUDENTS

LAST DAY OF TERM ACTIVITIES

We have had a wonderful start to the school year, the first ‘normal’ start in several years. We celebrated the end of Term One with students engaging in joy-filled activities. Students spent the day rotating through various activities, having fun, getting to know each other better and forming friendships with students of all ages outside the classroom. Everyone had a fantastic day, and I would like to thank the Heads of House and Heads of Year for organising the day.

UNIFORM REMINDERS

I thank parents and guardians for supporting their daughter in meeting the College’s uniform expectations this Term. However, I would like to mention a couple of things to avoid any confusion moving forward. Converse shoes are not permitted to be worn with the sport uniform. Students must wear joggers. Also, hair must be of a natural colour, and facial piercings are not permitted, nor are clear piercing retainers.

Next term, students will continue to be permitted to wear sport uniforms for the whole day when they have practical lessons. Physical Education teachers will communicate to parents the days when sport uniforms are required. The entire school will wear sport uniform on Friday as always.

Term 2 usually sees a slight change in the weather in the tropics. Parents/Guardians and students are reminded that the College Sports Jacket is not to be worn with the College Academic Uniform. College Blazers and jumpers can be purchased from the Wearitto Uniform Shop, which is located at 263 Charters Towers Road, Mysterton.
