Speech Night Details- Wednesday 30 October

It is that time of year again when we come together as a College community to celebrate the dedication, hard work and achievements of our students. We would like to extend the invitation to all of our families to join us at the 2019 Speech Night held this Wednesday 30 October at the Townsville Civic Theatre.

We would like to take this opportunity to remind all students attending the 2019 Speech Night to ensure that they are in full academic uniform (College Panama Hat is not required at this event) and that their personal presentation is exemplary.

A professional photographer has been hired for this event. We would like to remind families that photography is not permitted inside the Civic Theatre however the event will be live-streamed for any of our families who are unable to attend the event.

Please be reminded that the event will commence at 7:00 PM with all students and guests to be seated by 6.45 PM. We look forward to celebrating the achievements of our students.

MONDAY 11 NOVEMBER – FAREWELL MASS AND SUPPER (YEARS 11 & 12)

7:00pm – Sacred Heart Cathedral. Arrive by 6.45pm.

All Year 11 and 12 students are invited to attend, along with Parents/Guardians and families.

This event will incorporate the traditional Passing of the Light. Supper will be served following Mass.

Student dress code: Full academic uniform

THURSDAY 14 NOVEMBER – VALEDICTORY ASSEMBLY FOR YEAR 12 STUDENTS

11.15am-12.30pm – Sports Complex

All students in attendance to join in the celebrations to farewell our Year 12 students.

Parents/Guardians of Year 12 students are warmly invited to attend.

12.30pm – 1.30pm Light refreshments in the Café by the Sea for Year 12 Students, Parents/Guardians and families.

Student dress code: Full academic uniform

FRIDAY 15 NOVEMBER – YEAR 12 FORMAL WELCOME RECEPTION AND DINNER

Rydges Southbank Convention Centre, Palmer Street

Year 12 Parents & Guests Reception in the foyer (5.30pm-7.00pm)

Year 12 Formal (7.00pm-11.00pm)

These are both ticketed events.

Student dress code: Formal

Parent/Guest dress code: Cocktail
