Mercy Day Mass

This week  we came together to celebrate the Feast of our Lady of Mercy. As her feast day falls on September 24 during the school holidays we celebrate this special day in the life of our College in the last week of term. We paid tribute to Catherine McAuley and the Sisters of Mercy and gave thanks for their commitment & dedication to serving the vulnerable, the poor and the sick. We are reminded to remain focused on continuing their mission to bring God’s loving care to all.

Following Mass, our whole College participated in Mercy Day activities. These included a wide variety of community services such as Orange Sky Laundry, St Vincent de Paul and the Red Cross among many others. Our girls also enjoyed boxing with Elev8ed Fitness, weaving and singing on The Strand, science classes with students from St Joseph’s School the Strand, reading activities with St Joseph’s Kindergarten and Mike Reynolds Kindergarten, and plenty more.

TOGETHER WE PRAY

Loving God, may we,

with the help of Our Lady of Mercy and inspired by the life of Catherine McAuley,

always be ready to serve you.

Help us to put others before ourselves.

Look upon us with tenderness and mercy and

may all that we do reflect your unconditional love for us.

Amen.
